Marmoset information

 

MARMOSET 

 Marmoset are small long-tailed monkeys from South America. There are 22 different species of Marmoset. They are about 20 cm long and different as monkey they don't have nails they have claws. They have brown and white fur very dense and sliky. They have fur on their ears and their tails have got black and white rings of fur.

 

They feed on insects, fruits, tree sap and other small animals.They are active during the day and normally stay on the trees which they move very quickly and live with small groups from three to fifteen monkeys. They can can carry from 1 to 3 babies at the same time. When they are adults they abandon their group.
